Baby Shower locations

Hi ladies!  I am curious where everyone is having their baby shower.  My friend is hosting mine in June, and tried for her church but they were booked.  Our church charges $500 just to rent the hall, so that's a BIG no.  My mom is checking on her church (for free), and another girl I know can get us some free space, but the only date available is Father's Day. :(

My mom's church is a bit in the boonies, but if they're open we'll probably do that since it'd be free.  However, I'm trying to brainstorm all avenues!  Any suggestions?
