I think this is just a mom vent....
Morgan has been a very healthy baby, the first 9 months of her life, the only doctor visit she needed was her wellness checks. Now for the last month, its been one sickness after another. I know the weather is changing and she is STILL teething so that probably has a lot of to do with it, but its frustrating....First it was a high fever and then she got roseola, then a double ear infection, then it was a yeast infection from the antibiotics and now she some sort eye infection. We are going to the doctors again this afternoon, but I am pretty sure it's pink eye. So literally for the last month she has been this little snotty nose, crusty eye, crabby little girl!
All of this has all taken place at the same time my supply has tank and she is no longer getting any BM. So of course I think the two things have something to do with each other. I mentioned this to the nurse from the pedi office today and she told me that was not the case, but I still can't help but feel like it does have something to do with it. And then I feel like maybe I could have tried harder to make the whole breast-feeding work. Mothers guilt I guess...
When I talked to the nurse today I said I feel like maybe I am a little crazy about her being sick, since she was so well in the previous months. I guess besides my vent(thanks for listening) has anyone else little ones gotten sick a lot lately. How often are you guys calling the pedi?

Thanks ladies.. I figured it wasn't all because of the lack of BM but it just all happened at the same time, so that was my first thought!
I know we have been lucky so far with her sickness and her not being in daycare helps, but all of this in the last month has been a lot for me. Being a mom is stressful!
You can say that again and again and again.
Joshua has had formula since day 1, and been exclusive on formula since 4 months, and he's been pretty healthy, just 1 ear infection in March. so it's not the lack of breastmilk....
It's just going around, everyone I know has been sick & many kids have been sick, it's really been a bad season.
Hope she is healthy soon!
DD, who has been on formula since she was 2 weeks, had never been to the doctor's for anything other than a well child exam until she was 10 months old. Since then, she's been sick about 4 times, with bronchitis, ear infections, and other bugs. It was frustrating after she had such a long stretch of good health, but I think it's just a bad time of the year.
Hope your little one starts feeling better very soon!
It seems like most babies have a really good immune system until they get closer to 1. Both of my boys were formula fed from day 1. It amazed me with Noah how often we'd have a cold and he's never catch it. It wasn't until the first winter after he turned 1, then it was backk-to-back colds and ear infections. So far Nathan has been the same way. We had a couple colds run through the family and Nathan never caught it. <knock on wood>
