This question may be more for 2nd+ time moms, but I was looking at strollers this weekend and really liked the feel & versatility of the B-Ready...but total sticker shock ensued. Does anyone have any experience with this one (or know of someone who does), and would you be willing to share your thoughts? Or if you recommend another kind of infant seat/stroller, please feel free to share! I need the help!!

Thanks

Re: Britax B-Ready - thoughts/reviews?
My thoughts....
EXPENSIVE !
We are pretty much sold on the B-Ready - love the versatility. Right now they have a good deal on it where you get the car seat for only $110 and all my research tells me it's the best carseat you can buy safety wise. I was torn between the B-Ready and the Uppababy Vista myself but where I am the UppaBaby is $250 more!
Married August 20th, 2005 to the love of my life.

Not Quite the Middle of Nowhere
We are going with the B-ready--actually already purchased because DH was worried they would sell out and the sale would end.
Reasons I liked it:
1. Carseat had highest crash test ratings (consumer reports also takes into account things like ease of use, so the composite may not be as high as others)
2. Can have baby facing you or out. This was really important to me.
3. Conversion to 2 seater for potential future 2nd child
4. Smooth ride/good reviews/relatively easy fold. I liked the push bar better than the one on the uppababy which has a plastic peice in the middle; the B-ready is foam all the way across. Also, reputation for good customer service.
Things people don't like:
1. Weight/size of carseat---its heavy and bigger than some others. It fits in our VW Jetta though and I don't anticipate carrying the carseast that much because it fits into the stroller. Once we picked this as our carseat, stroller options that it fit into well were very limited and since we are in NYC this was very important to me. I liked the click and go feature.
There are strollers with the universal type bars that it sort of lays on and there is a strap that goes over it but I wasn't terribly thrilled with how secure that would be in the city with curbs, crowds, etc (Bumbleride and CityMini have this)
2. Size of the stroller--its about 1 1/2" wider than the vista. Weights are approximately equivelant I thought. Most moms I've spoken to here say they end up with a cheap umbrella type stroller once the baby is bigger (usually around 2 years or so)
3. Cost. Though the stroller/carseat deal made the whole thing about $450, which was fine for us in the end, just depends on your budget.
4. Fabric does not come off to wash in washing machine. With the uppababy, the whole seat fabric/sunshield come off and can even be replaced.
We have what I call an overabundance of research in our household right now. Ratedbymom.com has fantastic video reviews of strollers if that helps.
