Need travel toy help!

I'm flying along with B at the end of April.  I need help finding a new toy or two for him to play with on the plane if he decides not to sleep.  I've heard giving a baby something new helps, but I've looked twice and nothing is standing out.  Help please!!  thanks  :)

    Maybe one of the Melissa and Doug "Fill and Spill" toys?  We have the basket and DS loves it...it comes with a little basket (it's not hard, so you can squish it into your bag), and some soft toys inside that rattle, crinkle, jingle, etc.  I like that everything fits in the basket, so it's easy to travel with.

    We're in the same boat (err, plane?) in a few days. Headed for our honeymoon in Hawaii!

    I've heard several good tips. One is have a fresh, new toy for each hour (1/2 hour?) of your flight. You can wrap up each individual toy in gift wrap to add a little more time.

    I went to the dollar store got a few books that I won't care it they get torn up or left behind. I also bought the B. Toys cell phone and car key thingys. I also have several apps loaded on my iPad and iPhone for her to play with. Her favorites right now are Peekaboo Barn and the xylophone.

    Food is also a good distractor for my DD now. I'm loaded up on yogurt melts and freeze dried strawberries.

    This!  We got DD the picnic basket for Christmas and she adores that thing.  Loves all the stuff that came in it and we also stick other random stuff in it for her to work on pulling out and playing with.

    Thanks so much ladies!  I'm going to look into everything you mentioned tonight!  Boy....I forgot just about plain-old paper.  He loves it.  :)  This was a great help.  thanks  :)
