I slathered E head to toe in sunscreen, let her drink water, and skipped two naps. She's still alive and was smiling this morning so I think she'll make it.
I talked to the pedi about the sunscreen and water so all the Mommy McJudgersons that walked by glaring at me got flipped off.
JK I just mooned them. That was a difficult feat while holding a bottle or water in my infant's mouth while she was slippery from sunscreen.
Re: I broke several cardinal rules this weekend.
And the mommy of the year goes too....
haha jk. I gave our DD water (as recommended from our dr) and she is still alive & kicking..,me in the side currently!
Same with our LO! I was thinking ohhh she won't like it as much as the boob! And then next thing I know it's gone!
What kind of sunscreen did you use? We will be taking Molls in the pool soon and I want to make sure she's coated.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend.
We used Waterbabies Pure and Natural? It was Pure and something. 50 SPF. It's an oil free, perfume free, tearless formula.
Not judging, just question. I'm the person that, heaven-forbid, eyeballs the 1/2 scoop of formula for a 5 oz bottle... Why did you start adding water to her diet?
Great, thanks!
She is such a cutie that I will forgive the lack of your naked a$$....but just this once
I don't normally. We were going to the zoo and it was 85 degrees out. We were told to give her a few ounces of water to keep her hydrated between meals because it was so hot and she was sweating.

My boobies belong to cour10e
I plan to! Bahaha I can't tolerate heat. I was in a tank and still pouring sweat. Poor E was all soggy the whole time we were out too. She's def a winter baby.
Um, actually, DS gets an extra ounce of water in EVERY bottle and he's thriving. His pedi and I talked it over, and since it prevents his constipation and the apparent colic he had, it's a win. Been doing this for nearly a month now... and I'm pretty sure the kid ain't dead.
Are you always on such a high horse or is it just a bump thing?
Also the AAP says sunscreen in infants is fine in moderation.
