breech baby turned at the last minute!

Newbaby has been breech since about 35 weeks. As of last Wednesday he/she was still breech and we scheduled a c-section for today at 10:15am. Well when we arrived at the hospital this morning they did an ultrasound just to double check (which we knew they would do) and it turns out sometime in the last three or four days the baby flipped! He/she is now head down and engaged in my pelvis - which means it's pretty unlikely it could do another flip! I'm shocked! I had completely prepared myself for a baby today (and a c-section). The doctor said maybe once or twice a year they'll see a baby flip on it's own at the last second ... turns out this was one of those times!

We're back home now and waiting for labor to start on its own. The doctor said we could stay and do an induction but she said it would a longer, harder labor and she's rather see us wait and have things start on their own. Especially since my due date isn't until Wednesday. We agreed totally so now we're back to the waiting game!

Congrats! I had a breech baby and did the ECV to flip him. Now I just have to hope that my baby doesn't decide to be like yours and flip at the last min from head down back!
