Two c-sections and wanting a VBAC?

I've had two previous c-sections and with my next pregnancy really wanted to try a natural birth. Do any of you ladies know if the risks of a third c-section are worse than a VBAC after two? My previous OB said not to have a VBAC with my second even though it was 3 years between having my first and second child. Any tips or helpful stories?

    You are looking for a VBA2C.  Recent research suggests that it is safe to try but what is going to be difficult is finding a provider and a hospital that is going to legitimately let you try.  I'd suggest starting by finding providers that actually ALLOW it and interviewing them to get their take.  I had a VBAC (not VBA2C) with a midwife, so be sure to include one or two of them with your PB/GYN interviews.  Often they are more open to these situations.

    There are some people on this board who are at least trying for a VBA2c, so hopefully they can give you more information!

    The previous poster is right: the most difficult part will be finding a provider who attands VBA2C deliveries.  I'm doing an HBA2C with this pregnancy with a midwife...there is literally ONE ob within 75 miles in any direction of me who does VBAC births, and i absolutely hated him when I had a consult.  I love this midwife...you may want to look in that direction for better odds of finding someone.  Good luck!

    My suggestion is to contact your local ICAN chapter.  I was given a list of vbac and vba2c friendly doctors in my area.  Without contacting them I would have had no idea how to find a supportive doctor.  Not sure where you are located but my guess is there is probably an ICAN chapter near you or one that would cover your area.
