Talking divorce

DH and i are talking (more like arguing) about splitting up. However DS is 5.5 months old and strictly BF... How does that work if and when we separate? I don't want him on formula !!!!

    Well you could pump a stash so DH could bottle feed so the baby is still getting breast milk. 

    Or if DH is very understanding, he could come over for a couple hours every day to visit with the baby so you can continue EBF.

    Just a couple ideas. I'm sorry you're going through a difficult time.

    thanks, its very hard and waking up with no one by my side but my son was even harder. I am not sure whats going to happen but I am very scared! DH and I have been together 8 years!!!! to start over is scary enough to think about but to have to split being with Lukus when I am with him now almost 24/7 (minus when I am working) is even harder!!!! I told DH I want to try counseling he said yes then quickly changed to NO later Crying I hate this!!!!

    At this young age, overnight visitations wouldn't be recommended. However, the arugment could be used that if you can pump enough for him to be at daycare for 8 hours, you can pump enough for an overnight visit.

    Have you and your H discussed any kind of custody/parenting time schedule at all?

    Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. If there's any chance of you and your H separating, you need to have a plan in place.
