so I don't know what triggered it, but Miss A has now taken to meowing whenever she is unhappy or would otherwise cry.

if I am getting her dressed and she doesn't like it, she meows

yesterday she got her finger partially jammed in the door and instead of screaming/wailing/crying (which I fully expected - ouch!), she let out two loud meows and stopped after I hugged her!

when she doesn't want to nap, she starts wailing but it's not regular cries it, it's meooooooooooow meooooooooooooooow meoooooooow. she will cry, too, but there are definitely some meows here and there while she is crying!

I don't know how long this phase is going to last but it's kind of hilarious to hear her doing it. I wonder if other kids do this, too, or if my little girl is just super silly?

BAHAHAHAHA! I have a friend whose LO - about A's age - barks like a dog sometimes. I have no idea why - maybe she just likes the way it sounds or the way the words feel in her mouth? Regardless, it's pretty cute...think you can catch it on video? Stick out tongue

LOL, I think it's because she knows Mommy is more of a cat person (I remember during Lisa's random poll with questions about dogs vs cats, you'd always vote for cats in the end even though you love both =P).
