  It's not so bad if you go to someone that knows what they're doing.  By the time you realize what's happening it's already over! 

  If no one ends up having recos in Mason there are a couple places by Rookwood that I've used (Jane at Hyde Park Beauty First) or come reco'd (Leah at Salon LA) but would prefer not to have to drive down there if I don't have to.

  omg...I just called my old waxing place and apparently Jane passed away of cancer nearly 2 years ago.  I guess that makes sense since I've been living in Mason for a couple of years now...just didn't realize it had been that long.  That was moderately awkward.  Just FYI in case anyone takes my reco to go to the Hyde Park BeautyFirst so you're not thrown off like I was.

  I would recommend Christie at Avalon Salon in Hyde Park Plaza - not exactly near Mason. I was really comfortable with her and she was very nice about the whole embarrassing experience.

  I have to say - I've gone to Beauty First in Hyde Park Plaza a few times for lip & brow waxing and I don't think their waxing areas in the salon are very clean. They're a last resort place for me. Although I will say their techs have always been very nice.

  Hair & Body Works in Hyde Park with Benny.  Yes, Benny is a man, but he does the best job and is hilarious so you will feel comfortable.  Pricing is very reasonable.
