Skin issues (me, not the baby!)

Hi all,

 DD is a little over 3 weeks old..I'm noticing that my skin is extremely dry and flaky, particularly on my face. I'm wondering if this has to do with being post-pregnancy or breast feeding. I have dry spots, but also have red bumps and itchy spots. Anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas to help this? I use Cetaphil cleanser, and am not sure if I should try something else on my face.

    I could have written this exact post! I'm also using Cetaphil. I think it may be too strong for me right now. I started using St.Ives apricot scrub and my face isn't as bad.
    June 2010 - IVM
    July 2, 2010- BFP Beta July 5th - 931 Repeat beta July 7th - 2,779
    July 13, 2010- First ultrasound! Gestational sac found!
    July 16, 2010 - 2nd u/s due to bleeding. Twins found! Baby A is great! Praying for Baby B!
    July 23, 2010 - 3rd u/s. Saw Baby A's flicker of a heartbeat! Lost Baby B. :-(
    March 16, 2011 - Nathan James was born
    November 26, 2012 - surprise BFP! It's a girl!
    July 26, 2013 - Lilianna Jean was born

    I too am 3 weeks pp, I am dry and itchy, and now I am starting to break out.

    YES!

    I started using my son's California Baby calendula lotion on my face and it seems to have helped a lot.

    cetaphil is very drying for me. I use the liquid purpose cleanser. hth

    Cetaphil has always been too drying for me too. I use a vry gentle cleanser by Basis called cleaner clean face wash- it was reccomended to me by my friends step mom who is an esthetician 10+ years ago as being one of the most gentle effective over the counter face washes and it is.

    My skin started breaking out 3 weeks ago when I started the mini pill, ugh. I am going to call the ob office to see if there is anything I can take for this while BF cause none of the over the counter stuff I have tried is helping at all.
