I like Alexis Jae (pronounced Jay)

He likes Alexis Jade (which to me, sounds more like a stripper name!)

IMO Jade, Crystal, and amber are stripper names. Pretty, but stripper names. I like Alexis Jae better than with the Jade added.

I dont think the name "Alexis " or "Jade" are stripperish, but together they sound a bit "Jae" is a bit better...

If you made the mn a little Classier like Alexis Marie, Alexis Elisabeth or Alexis Julia, then it would even things out.

This. I think it's the Alexis part that sounds more stipperish than the middle names. But paired together, especially with Jae, makes it sound like a stripper name.

Maybe Alexandra Jade?

I'm not a huge fan of Alexis but I've never thought of it as sounding at all stripperish. I have a friend from childhood named Alexis whose dad is a poet and she's beyond extremely intelligent. Jade does strike me as sounding like a stripper and/or porn star.

Exactly this. It's the combination of both names together. Especially since there is no last name to say with it, it sounds like Jae/Jade is the "final" name. This is the same as it would sound when scolding the child using fn and mn. Alexis by itself, or with a "classier" mn is better, but I still don't like it. And I always think of the joke, "I named my daughter Alexis, because if I wouldn't have had her, I'd be driving one." I also think of the episode of South Park where they do a spoof of Hooters and all the girls' names are after cars. Ex: Alexis, Mercedes, Porsche, Bentley, etc.

There was a boy in high school who called me Sexy Lexie and I HATED it. It was so embarrassing.

I think Alexis Jae sounds less stripper-y than Alexis Jade, but I think I'd probably go with another middle name.

If you have a chance to check this out-go to myspace and type in Alexis Jade or you can google her. She seems like a real 'classy chick'. By the the way she isn't a stripper-she is an adult entertainer. Cracks me up!

I have a very good friend who's name is Jaie (pronounced Jay). She gets many compliments on it. Together I think they sound nice. Plus, I'm a beliver that the person makes the name not the reverse. So unless you will be raising your child in a strip club, I think you're safe
