First Birthday Party Ideas???

We would love to have a 1st Bday party for Charlie, but we have 2 MAJOR concerns:

1. Money is super tight.

2. Our place is way too small.

Does anyone have any ideas? LOL, I know this is a tough one. I do not have a local family member who can host, and I don't feel comfortable asking a friend- they have already done so much planning my wedding and baby shower, etc. Any suggestions will be appreciated!!! This little guy deserves a party!

This isn't a wedding or shower.. it's a baby party. Get an inexpensive cake and some drinks and head to the park.

I had the same thing. No family and a small place. I kept to the theory of a child for each year so we only had one other baby for Matt's first and a few of our friends. We are going to do the same for his second. Two kids and just a few friends. Oh and lots of cake!! I had an area of the backyard that had a couple of balloons and I took all of the photos with those as the backdrop. so in the photos it looks like we decorated the whole backyard.

We have a little more space but not much money. I found picture frames for $0.85 that were blue and said Birthday Boy that hold a wallet size picture and I am planning to have his one year picture done and then give them to family members. The plus is they have a magnet on the back. With a one year candle and a package of $1.00 decorations, except for the cake it is not coming off too expensive.
