DS is almost a year. I know he's by no means behind or anything. He started walking a month ago, just a few steps. He just seems really reluctant to walk on his own. He can walk 8 or 9 steps but will only do it if we initiate it. He's been crawling since 6 months and cruising since 7, so I'm surprised he hasn't warmed up to walking. How long did it take your LO's to want to walk and do it often? I know there's no right answer to this but I'm curious about your experiences.
Re: Another walking question... how long until they're good at it?
I'd say within a month or two of when they start on their own, most LOs are walking pretty well.
ETA: I bet you'll see a huge difference as another month passes by.
DS started walking unassisted at 9 months,he was using push toys to walk since about 7 months, and it took him about a month to get comfortable with it.. now he's running around like a crazy man wanting to walk everywhere.
