3 hr Glucose Test - How long did you fast?

For anyone who had to take the 3 hour glucose test- how long did you fast beforehand? I'm going first thing in the morning and my doctor told me not to eat or drink anything after midnight. The actual drink says to fast for 12 hours - I called the lab, and they didn't realize the drink said that! They told me to eat something right before bed and fast the rest of the night.

Thought I would get some opinions, if anyone is on right now!

    I'm too late because you've probably already started your test by now. But I was told nothing after midnight the night before. My test started at 8:30am and it all ended up fine. GL!!

    Thank you! That's what I was told as well. However, I don't think the test went really well - I had a bad reaction 4 hours after drinking it.  I was thinking of transferring care to a birth center and spoke to them about it, and they said it didn't sound promising. We will find out next week...

    I got really sick from the 1st and 2nd test, and I ended having no issues, so you may still be fine.  Good luck!

    I hope that you passed the test! When I say mine went fine, I mean that I managed to keep the drink down and I did pass, but I felt like crap all day and a little the next day too. I didn't have any problems with the 1hr test, so I'm guessing it's the empty stomach that kills you on the longer test.
