I bought Dansko's when pregnant last year since I knew I needed something comfortable (and not be able to tie my shoes). They are my go-to comfy shoes and I could wear them all day walking.

Steal my kids picture or pretend they are yours, I will find where you live and ship all of their dirty diapers to your doorstep. Promise.
I second the Clarks, Born, and Dansko suggestions. Merrell and Aerosoles also make some cute comfy styles. I'm so sad that I outgrew most of mine while pregnant!
p.s. There is a Clarks outlet up at Tulalip, and Dansko has an online outlet. If you're willing to sort through shoe flingage, you can often also find any of these brands at Nordstrom Rack.
Re: NBR: need shoe rec
I love my ballet flats by Clarks. I'm on my feet ~8 hours everyday and I've NEVER had a problem with these.
