Nate is getting tubes

OMG what an appt I had today. I am so GLAD I booked with the ENT. This appt was a little different than Wesley's due to all of Nate's allergies. So they did numbing of his nose so they can look at his adnois. Boy was that totally not fun! But they turned out they were only medium size. So then we do the hearing test. Same as Wes. They say they do more things at the age of 3 which he will be in a few weeks. But he failed his hearing test due to all the fluid that is still on both ears. Just sitting in that booth wanting your child to turn their head and they don't is heart breaking. But they say after they get these tubes in and get this fluid out that he should pass with flying colors. Then all this brings us to his speech. My DH and I have been thinking for months that he could be behind. He has tons of words but not a lot of sentences and you can't understand him all the time. The Dr did hear him speak a few times and saw what I was talking about. So we are praying that the tubes will cure that too and don't have to do expensive speech therapy.

Pray for this will do miracles for Nate. So glad his brother already has it at a young age and hopefully won't have any of these issues!

I hope the tube are what fixes all of this for him. Poor Nate and poor mommy. I am sure he will be a different kid after the tubes drain the fluid.

Noah didn't get tubes till he was 20 months old and he wasn't talking at all. He eventually had his adenoids removed at almost age 3. S soon as he had the tubes in he started to talk. It still took a long time for me to understand him, but not Kate new everything he was saying. Lol. I hope this does the trick for him.

Hopefully the tubes will help. The speech therapist we saw this week thinks Bailey's delay of talking is due to all this ear problems. I remember sitting in that room wishing and hoping Bailey would hear the sounds. Good luck!
