Is it a real positive HPT?

Hi ladies! This is my first time posting here. I was wondering if you could help me out. My husband and I have been TTC, and I am charting, etc. I am 9-11 DPO, so technically I shouldn't be taking a HPT for another week, but I couldn't wait. And I got a positive! I used First Response Early Result PT. Have you all heard anything about how often false positives occur? I am nervous that because it is so early I'm not really pregnant, and I want to be sure before I get too excited and tell my husband. Help!

If it is not a blue dye test, chances are it is probably correct. (Blue dye tests tend to have evap lines which give false postives)

I would wait and test again with a digital in a couple days.

Wow! This is exciting! (It's not a blue dye test.) I think I might still wait a couple of days and test again before telling my husband. That is, if I can keep it to myself. Hopefully I will be back to join you ladies in our thrilling journey towards our baby's birth.

I took the same test at 10DPO and got a positive. I ended up taking like 4 or 5 more test just to make sure, and they were all positive too! Congrats!!!!! H&H 9 months!

I got my positive at 8dpo. 9dpo on a digital. (I got negatives on my dollar tree tests though) I used an IC not a FRER.

I have NEVER gotten a false pos with FRER. They are a pretty accurate test. I have gotten BFP's with them (although very faint) at the equivalent of 10dpo. Sounds hopeful! Try again tomorrow or the next day!

I got a positive at 9 dpo. That is possible with a FRER. Congrats!!

I used a first response PT 5 days before my missed period and got a faint positive, I took another first response PT 3 days later and it said positive again but darker. I would try one again in a few days. False positives are rare and don't happen as often as false negatives.

I got a faint positive on a blue dye and on a pink dye FRER at 9DPO. I went out to buy a digital just to confirm, and it popped up with "pregnant"! They always say "a line is a line", but a digital will confirm it for you! Good luck!
