Karo Syrup question...

So I gave DD Karo Syrup at pedi direction.  Anyone know how long until it cleans her out?  Dr. said we could give it to her 4 times a day.  So far she's had it twice (6 hours apart) and still no poops.  Anyone know how long we will have to wait for the big event?
