I BF mostly on demand during the day - it's typically every 2-3 hours and I wake him up to feed if it's been 3 hours. At night, we let him sleep until he wants to be fed. On a good night, that can be up to 6 hours. I pump once in the morning at around 10:00 or 11:00 - usually after an 8:00 or 9:00 feeding and playing time - but that's just for our "emergency" supply. We have yet to use the bottle consistently. We have it saved up for babysitters and night feedings when mommy is really really sleepy.
I've been feeding her approx every 3 hours (and I usually have to wake her up). I'm not pumping yet but will probably start in a week or two. We saw the pediatrician on Monday and LO had almost regained her birth weight, so pedi said later this week we could go 4 hours in between feedings at night (unless she wakes up hungry before then of course). I'm going to try that for the first time tonight.
this is little different as I feed the baby with a bottle, but I pump about 4 times per day: 5 am, 12 pm, 6 pm and 12 am. My baby eats every 4 hours, and I think i am ahead of her demand, that is also combined from both breasts. At first I had a manual pump and hardly kept up with her where I gave in to formula for 3 days. I now have a double electric breast pump that cuts the time in 4! so don't worry if you aren't getting much milk at first - you create the demand yourself by pumping.
Bed time is around 10-11pm at night so LO is first up around 7:30am so we nurse and usually go back to sleep until 10am. We nurse on demand which averages about every 2 1/2 hours. I pump after I shower and have put him down for the night to empty out my boobs. I usually wake up around 5am to pump again because my boobs will be engorged. I get about 7oz from that pumping alone so that goes into my freezer stash which I'm slowly building up before going back to work in May.
I BF on demand. Which is about every 2-3 hours during the day. And one cluster feed right before bed. At night, it usually is every 4-5 hours. She is down to just waking up once. However, last night she went 6 hours!!!
I don't wake her for a strict schedule because she is gaining weight right on track and the doctor told me that on demand is doing great.
Pumping, I haven't gotten to do too much of this. Just started recently. I have about 4 ounces in the freezer. I try to get a pump in the morning when I am fairly full and around dinner time if I feel full enough. It really depends on how much she is eating in the day. Sometimes it isn't even worth getting the pump out because I know I won't get more than a few drops.

I posted on your other thread, but i'll post here too. I try to pump in the morning sometime because you usually get more in the am rather than pm. I also pump between 9:30 and 10 at night right before going to bed. I don't get a ton then because LO usually just finished eating at around 8:30 or 9. I just like to pump before bed because he usually sleeps between 4-7 hours and I would wake up even more engorged and leaky than I already do when he wakes up. Once I head back to work I'll probably try waking up once to pump just to make sure I'm keeping up with my freezer stash. I also feed on demand during the day. I know I need to start a schedule soon to give day care a schedule, but it's so difficult when sometimes he is set for 3 hours and other times he wants to latch back on a half hour later.
For me so far it's different every day. I need to get myself on more of a schedule. DD eats every 2-3, sometimes 4 hours. At night sometimes she will go 6 if I am lucky. I try and pump once during the day. Like I had to pump at 5 bc I was so engorged bc she had been asleep for a while. I had to relieve the pressure. I do try and pump before bed. Usually when I get up she eats from both breasts bc she is so hungry. So its hard to get on a regular pumping schedule. Maybe I will have to get up earlier than DD.
Right now she has regained her birth weight so she eats every 2-2.5 hours during the day, on demand, and every 3-4 hours at night (usually we wake her).
I pump after every other feeding. I have found that two 15 minute pumps with consecutive feedings are less productive than a 20 minute after every other feeding.
(At first, it didn't look like she'd regain her birth weight, so the Ped. made us wake her every 2 hours (3 at night) to feed. After EACH feeding, she'd receive 1 oz breastmilk from a syringe. She seems to have acclimatized to the schedule, and the week of supplements didn't affect her BF latch or eating style.)
I have to wake LO during the day every three hours and let her wake us for feedings during the night. I usually pump only if I am in a lot of pain or if I know we would be out and about during a feeding. I need to start pumping more to fill up a stock supply just in case though!

I feed on demand but no longer than 3 1/2 hours. DS isn't a week old yet so I want to make sure he's getting enough. Assuming his appointment goes well next week I'll likely go to only on demand.
