Last night we had our first real false alarm with our Angelcare monitor. We had one once before, but it was because I had accidentally unplugged the main unit and the batteries were dying after a few days.
But last night - no reason at all for that thing to beep. We heard the 15-second warning beep, I twisted my ankle running in there, and my husband hauled a$$ down from upstairs, threw on the light and woke the poor baby up. He was sound asleep and just fine.
The only reason I can think of is that I changed the sheet on his co-sleeper mattress yesterday, so maybe I need to re-calibrate the pad? The good news is, I know that we can make it in there within 5 seconds, because it never even got to the main alarm beeps by the time we were in there on top of him.
Talk about stressful.
