wish me luck....and grant me patience

So we are at MIL's for the weekend and like many of y'all I have started having some new feelings towards my MIL and the way she treats me, DH, and my LO. I need patience for this night here, I dont share well. MIL refers to MY baby as "her baby" and I just want to choke her....vent over, I need to go be social.

    I kindly remind her, he is MY baby....your grandchild.  My MIL insists on feeding him chamomile tea to help his "colic" and it irritates the sh!t out of me!  If she can't follow MY rules with MY son, then I can't trust her enough to have her babysit.  I'll let her think about that for awhile.

    My problem isn't my MIL. She's great. It's DH's paternal grandmother. She does the "my baby" crap. She's also the type to try to wake up DD if she's sleeping so that she can hold her. There was one day last weekend where it had taken me a good 30 minutes to get DD to nap and she was in her bouncy seat. GMIL came over, saw DD sleeping, and did her best to talk loudly, etc until she saw DD wake up and then she was like, "Oh, she wants someone to hold her!!" and before I could blink, she swooped over to the bouncer and snatched up DD, who was a major cranky pants by this point.

    She also gave DH and I a giftcard to go out to eat and told us we weren't allowed to use it unless she got to babysit. H to the no, lady.

    ugh... my MIL does the "my baby" thing too... drives me nuts.
