Question for those who have given birth already!!

I was due March 31st, and I just lost my mucus plug. How soon after losing your mucus plugs did you start having contractions? I'm so excited! Hopefully we'll beat my induction date afterall!

I don't want to bum you out, but I lost mine at 37 weeks and ended up being induced at 39 weeks due to PIH. Hopefully that is not the case for you though and you start having contrax soon!

I started to lose my MP on Thursday, bloody show on Friday, irregular contractions started Sunday night. Still had irregular contractions on Monday. Tuesday they were timeable but not 5-1-1. I had my doctor's appointment on Tuesday and since my contractions weren't picking up any more and I was miserable, I was sent to the hospital that night to be induced. Induction started around 10/11 pm and Nathan was born 9:46 am Wednesday.

I lost part of mine and never had contractions. I still had to be induced.

Approximately 2 weeks....but I have friends who lost theirs and went into labor days later....good luck!

I lost my MP (lots of clear gelatinous discharge) on Tuesday and had the baby on Sunday. The day I had the baby, when I was laboring at home, I lost a big brownish bloody blob during a contraction. I lost that and had the baby 3 hours later. GL!!

I was already having contractions when I started losing my mucus plug... They were barely noticeable and I only knew I was having contractions because I was hooked up to the monitors at the hospital waiting for induction.

Same here. Lost mine while at the hospital, gave birth 2 hours later (super fast labor and delivery!).

And yes, everyone is different, but I hope losing yours means a baby is in the very near future for you! Good luck!

I lost my mucus plug, had my bloody show, and my water broke all on the 19th, and he was born (with the help of Cytotec and Pitocin) on the 21st after 21 hours of labor.

I lost mine at 36 weeks, and was induced at 39 weeks because I was really dilated but not in labor.

Lost mine gradually between 37-39 weeks then my water broke at 40w 2 days. I needed pitocin to start contractions. Good luck!

I lost mine on Monday afternoon, started having bloody show and cramping Tuesday, woke up with contractions early in the morning on Wednesday which went away by mid-afternoon, had my membranes stripped at my appt that afternoon and contractions came back strong, then ended up delivering early Thursday morning.... so about 2.5 days from losing it till delivery.
