BFing = yucky feeling in the pit of my stomach

First, I hate to complain about BFing as I consider myself very lucky that LO and I were able to BF. Please don't think I'm not extremely grateful. I just need to vent and see if anyone relates.

When I was in 2nd or 3rd trimester, if my nips were stimulated, I would feel a little sick in the pit of my stomach. Now that I'm BFing, I often get that same yucky feeling in my stomach. I can't quite describe it but it makes me a little nauseous and I look forward to it being over. I feel guilty, like I should enjoy that time with LO more. I love that I can feed him and get that great closeness and eye contact but I wish that feeling would go away. Any guesses as to what might be causing it or something that might relieve it? Anyone else experiencing this??

  • I googled it and found this:

Sometimes the yucky feeling actually makes me feel a little on-edge and aggitated. I guess that's normal. Here's hoping that it gets better around 6-8 weeks!

  • When I was BFing, and now when I'm pumping, I get a very ODD sensation in my stomach. I almost think it's like when you get really nervous and you get butterflies in your stomach. I'm not nervous, though. Smile And I definitely wouldn't say it makes me nauseous. I'm sorry! I hope it gets better for you!!

I get something like this, too. I wouldn't describe it as nausea but more like the butterflies feeling, or like a tight feeling in my stomach.

  • could it be uterine contractions?

I haven't felt one in awhile, but initially when I was bf-ing, I'd definitely feel one.

I get these too, and always just thought it was my uterus.
