Spotting/bleeding, low progesterone, HCG not doubling

I'm not sure if I am considered high risk at this point, but I thought you ladies might be able to relate. I am 6 weeks pregnant, and having some spotting/bleeding for the last 3 days. They also just did my hormone levels, and I have low progesterone so I am now on Prometrium. My HCG levels increased but did not double.  I'm getting my levels done again on Tuesday and an ultra sound on Friday. Has anyone else been through this? Another thing my doctor said might be the cause of bleeding is a clot under the placenta. Just looking for others' experiences. TIA

    I had the same problem back in October.  I ended up having to do progesterone suppositories for my entire first trimester.  I kept bleeding about ever 2 wks during that whole time.  I even ended up in the ER a few times.  All in all the docs never gave me an answer as to why everything was happening but baby is doing well now (just a little small and I may have some placenta issues) and I am in my 3rd trimester.   Keep your head up.  You will get through this.

    my first beta was 7,000

    second was only 12,000 (2 days later)

    prog was a little low.

    Went for an u/s and there was a Heartbeat!

    3rd beta was 5 days after the second and had jumped to 47,000. Didn't double every 2 days but went up significantly.

    I'm 31 weeks now. I have complications due to my cervix and high BP but baby is great. I hear that once betas get up into the higher ranges and there is already a h/b that sometimes they can take longer to double....
