Book jackets?

Do you keep book jackets on the kids' books? I try to keep them on, but it seems like a lost cause, as they just tend to slip off, then get crumpled by DS. Should I bother?

No! I hate book jackets. They get recycled.

I take ours off too. They drive me nuts. The only books that still have their jackets are special edition books that I won't let the kids read without proper adult supervision.

I seem to have trouble tossing them, but they are all in a basket not on the books.
