Anyone have experience ordering one of these in a specific Little Castle fabric? I'm specifically interested in the Monaco Glider/Recliner. I can find it at many furniture websites, but there are no customer reviews - would love to hear thoughts on shipping speed, reliability, and probably most importantly quality and comfort of the chair itself.
TIA!

Re: Little Castle Glider/Recliners
I currently have a Little Castle glider/recliner on order and it is scheduled to be here around the beginning of May. I ordered the Cottage glider/recliner in Ophelia Dove for our nursery. I sat in about 4 or 5 different LC gliders at the boutique where I purchased the chair from. All the chairs were great quality but all felt differently. Some were more upright, some were softer, ect. I would suggest trying to find a retailer near you that carries some of the chairs so that you can sit in a few. I wouldn't be the slightest bit nervous about the quality as I found everything to be great.
Again, I haven't taken delivery yet at home but did get to experience them in store, which was nice. HTH!
I was all set on a Little Castle until we went to the store and tried it out. It is super comfy to sit in - probably THE most comfortable of the glider/recliners I have tried. My biggest issue was that it was super difficult to close from the reclining position. I had serious difficulty closing it now and I can only guess how difficult that will be after I have pushed/had a baby pulled out of my ute. DH, who has pretty strong legs and core muscles, thought it was hard as well.
As far as quality - they seem to be pretty good. The only thing the guy in the store pointed out was that the fabric on the back cushion tends to sag after awhile (like a couple of years). You can tuck it behind the cushion, but that seemed to be the only downside in terms of quality.
I just ordered a Little Castle glider + matching gliding ottoman from BBB. I ordered one that is made especially for BBB (was much cheaper than the others), so I was limited on fabrics. But they did have 2 other regular Little Castle gliders/recliners there that could be ordered in any fabric...plus they had a book showing all the models that they can order.
The advantage was that you can use either BB&B, BBB, or BRU 20% off coupons on it.
I ended up calling LC the other day because I couldn't find a picture of the one I ordered online and I have to say the customer service was great. They were so helpful and even emailed me a picture of the glider.
btw, this is the one I got...
Do you mind sharing what the price was for your glider/ottoman (without the 20% coupon)? Thanks so much!
Sure, it was $600 for the set, broken down into $400 for the glider and $200 for the gliding ottoman.
With the discount, it came to $480 for the set + tax
I've had the Monaco in Summit Dove for about 7 months. I have the recliner version and didn't get an ottoman. My husband is the one who mainly uses it and he feels it is very comfortable but wishes the back pillow was taller since he likes to put his head back but I use it once in awhile and I don't think it's a big deal. I don't think it's difficult to use in any way. And I like that the recliner handle is hidden (at least the one I have). The back cushion is different than cushions in other chairs--the cushion is softer and the fabric is not that tight on it. I think that's how the Little Castle chairs are designed. Overall, we really like the chair. It's holding up very well.
We bought it from a boutique since I wasn't willing to take a big risk with ordering it online unseen but if I had to do it again, I wouldn't hesitate to order it online and save money.
Leadtime was about 8wks I believe. Tip when using the 20% coupon: it's only off 1 item so you buy the glider w/1 coupon & have hubby buy the ottoman w/another 20% coupon. They accept the BedBath&Beyond coupons since it's their sister-store.
And btw, I really like the set. Esp since it looks like regular furniture, not just "nursery" furniture like so many Dutalier types. Here's a pic, sorry kinda dark..
