Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Come in if you add cereal to LO's bottles

How much does your LO eat at a time?  DS was eating around 6oz of formula, but since adding cereal it's gone down to 3oz.  I know the cereal is filling, but that just doesn't seem right to me that he would cut his feedings in half?

  • Sam drinks 6-7oz and when I add rice he drinks about 5-5.5oz.

  • My little one drinks 4 oz. and with cereal she drinks only 2 to 3 oz. I only put a teaspoon though.

  • My LO is a chunker.  HAH!  He eats about 8-9 oz. without rice cereal and about 6-7 with it.  Such a big boy!

  • ive been adding rice cereal since V was 2 months old. My pedi recomended it to help her reflux. Right now she drinks 3.5-4 oz every 2.5-3 hours.

  • I remember seeing on a website.... oh, I wish I remembered which one!  I'll try to find it.... that, when adding rice cereal to bottles, we should expect our babies to consume only 65% of their previous intake.
