I now have two babies...

DH broke his arm last night during rugby practice.  He has a cast up past his elbow that he will wear for three weeks and then, if everything is healing properly, he'll have a forearm cast for another 3 weeks.  He's actually been amazing today- probably too amazing- trying to do too much to show that he can still help out with Rory.  But he's in pain (which I know will fade) and he's not very mobile.  The biggest problem is that he can't hold her on the arm with the cast but he can't hold her with the other arm because he can't hold the bottle with the arm in the cast...

So I guess it's up to me to do all the night feedings now, too.  I'm sorry he's in pain and I'm glad it's not worse, but... sigh.

    Oh man... I'm sorry! THANKFULLY my DH didn't do rugby this Spring, it always makes me nervous. There are ALWAYS injuries.

    I'm glad he's still trying to do as much as he can. Can he wear her in a wrap or babybjorn?

    Vent on here if you need to!

    This. It's great that he isn't acting like it's a man cold though! I thought for sure that's where this was going, so kudos to your DH for at least trying to help.

    He actually asked to wear her in the Moby last night- he hasn't done that ever!  She was already asleep though so I told him next time.  This is going to be a hard 6 weeks- we're starting to realize just how limited he is... I'm tired just thinking about it!  AND- two different people have told him they had that same break and it took over a YEAR to heal!!  IN A CAST!!  I cannot be the only person taking care of this kid for a YEAR!!  AHHH!
