bright red bleeding

I'm almost 3 weeks postpartum, and my bleeding has been tapering off. But today when I went to the bathroom I noticed a lot of bright red bleeding, which I haven't had since earlier on. I did probably overdo it a little today, but I'm wondering at what point I should be concerned. Have others experienced this?

    I had this a couple of days ago and again today. I'm so ready for the bleeding to stop!
    June 2010 - IVM
    July 2, 2010- BFP Beta July 5th - 931 Repeat beta July 7th - 2,779
    July 13, 2010- First ultrasound! Gestational sac found!
    July 16, 2010 - 2nd u/s due to bleeding. Twins found! Baby A is great! Praying for Baby B!
    July 23, 2010 - 3rd u/s. Saw Baby A's flicker of a heartbeat! Lost Baby B. :-(
    March 16, 2011 - Nathan James was born
    November 26, 2012 - surprise BFP! It's a girl!
    July 26, 2013 - Lilianna Jean was born

    I had that around 3 weeks PP, even though I thought my bleeding has completely stopped. If you are not soaking a pad in less than an hour, I wouldn't worry. It might happen again.

    I had the exact same thing happen to me in my third week...it had tapered off, then was bright red again and now it has tapered off again. I'm worried it might happen again too but so far it hasn't and I'll be 4 weeks pp tomorrow!

    yes! It happened at 4 weeks. I actually did soak one pad in less than an hour with large blots. I called the doctor and said it had to been one pad every hour for 3 hours. Hmm I'm so ready for this to be over.

    no worries ladies, it's all normal.  i went in for my 6 week check up today and told my dr. that i was still "leaking" occasionally.  she wasn't worried and said it's normal.

    although it sure IS a pain in the a$$!!! Angry

    It's totally normal, especially since you overdid it a little.  Take it easy!
