My DH used to have really bad acne. He took Accutane in college. My brother has/had bad acne, too. Every dermatologist my brother or DH has seen has recommended the Neutrogena bar soap. It's too harsh for me and really dries out my skin, but my DH uses that pretty religiously.
He also likes my Clinique face wash.
The two men in my life. Oh, and I have a husband too...

Well I have the Clinique 7 day scrub and the Foaming wash but I'm still breaking out

I second Cetaphil (the normal to oily kind, not the original heavier stuff). I've always had bad skin and the second I stopped attacking it and started treating it gently it improved drastically. I do 2.5% BP and a gentle moisturizer and that's it!

I'm actually a Clinique Consultant, and if you are having active breakout (like pimples, not just black heads), any manual exfoliation (like 7-day Scrub Cream) will indeed make the breakout worse. The reason this happens is that pimples are clogged pores with the presence of bacteria. When you scrub your face, the bacteria gets spread around too. Exfoliation IS important though. You want a chemical exfoliation. Salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide are chemical exfoliates. Clinique does make an awesome 3-Step system that works great for me. I hope you don't think I am trying to "self promote" because I obviously won't be getting commission or anything off you. lol. I do recommend calling your local Clinique counter and requesting a complementary consultation with an "Accredited Consultant" and ask if there is a particular consultant with that title they would recommend with your concern with acne. HTH!

Omg! Thank you for letting me know! I love Clinique so I will probably go to the mall today and get some. Is it the 3 step face wash or the one that's specialized for ace that comes with the face wash, the alcohol wipe and moisturizer?

You're very welcome! Honestly if you have more than one pimple all the time, then you need the Acne Solutions 3-Step. (Cleansing Foam, Clarifying Lotion (that is like a toner), and Clearing Moisturizer. You can always pair a product with an SPF, ect, just make sure everything is oil free. You mentioned having a Foaming Cleanser already, so which one is it? Is it the Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser?

Yes, the rinse off foaming cleanser. So should I just put the 7 day scrub away?

Yes, I would put the 7-Day Scrub away until your breakout is clear. I am glad you have the Rinse off Foaming Cleanser. That is a really great make up remover. At night, before you do your night time skin care routine, use the Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser. The reason you would want to use it with your new Acne cleanser is because the cleanser is really gentle and won't be able to penetrate cosmetics. Now, if you are not wearing make up, you don't have to use it.
I did some internet checking for you and saw that Macy's in in Clinique Bonus, so you'll get a free gift too. I saw it contains Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, which is an awesome moisturizer, BUT it contains oil, so do not use it on your face, I keep in in my hand bag and use it as hand lotion.
You may not need to request any special meetings with a consultant since we got to talk. lol. If you like, you should be able to just tell them what you need. Clinique does also make a foundation that has some acne treatment. It's really popular, but I would recommend to get color matched and ask for a sample.
One thing I want you to keep in mind, any time exfoliation is increased, it is normal for breakout to be worsened for a little bit. That is because the impurities in the skin are being pulled to the surface. After that initial breakout, your skin should improve.

Thanks for the info! This helped a lot. We don't have a Macey's but we do have a Dillards! lol I already got the gift from there once, but hey I'll do it again. I can't pass up some free clinque! lol.
Oh yeah, I use the yellow lotion for my face. Idk what that one is called. Should I get a different one?

You're very welcome! All of the retail stores have different specials at different times. I work at a Dillard's and we don't have any specials going on right now.
The yellow lotions is the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. (unless you have the one that says "Gel" instead of "Lotion") If it is the lotion, put it away for a little bit or start using it as a hand moisturizer. If it is the gel, you can use it as needed for extra moisture. You don't have to get a different one necessarily unless you skin feels tight without a moisturizer, then I would recommend Super Defense for oily skin since it's oil free and has an SPF to protect you skin
