*Holly*

Hi Holly! How have you been doing? I'm sure Nina is getting so big and cute these days : ) Did you guys go trick or treating with her this year?

?I go to Women's Health Specialists of Frederick on TJ Drive. I think your office is right down from ours if I'm thinking of the right one. Overall, I've?been happy with the doctors except for last year when a nurse called about abnormal cells, she left me in the dark and more worried than anything. When we do get pregnant, I'm not sure if I'll stay or not--but I've heard really good things about your office.?

Do you see one doctor or rotate through and get whoever is on call?

Re: *Holly*

  • Yes, we did take Nina trick or treating tonight.  She was really good at first, but got tired.  We probably only took her to a dozen or so houses, but she had a pail of candy over half full when we finished!  She's getting so big and so smart.  She needs a haircut, but I have no idea how we'll get her to sit still long enough for anyone to cut her hair.  She dressed up as a devil for Halloween, and it was quite fitting for her!!

My OB's office rotates visits among doctors when you are PG.  That is so that you have some sense of familiarity with each doctor depending on who is on call when you go into labor.  When I was PG with Nina, there were only two doctors in the whole practice!  In fact, six weeks out of that time only one doctor was running the show b/c the other one was on maternity leave!  Yikes!  They now have 4 doctors, but I still have only ever met the first two.  Whenever I am PG again, I'll be scheduled on a rotating basis to meet with all of them over time.

Nina was delivered by Dr. Acerenza (a female), and Dr. Chen (a male) was my doctor through the whole blighted ovum/miscarriage ordeal.  Through both experiences (on both ends of the spectrum) I've developed a fondness for each one of them.  The new doctros that I haven't met yet are probably just as wonderful I'm sure.

Just curious who you went to.  I'm sure they're all pretty good.  At the very least, you'll deliver (when the time comes) at FMH and I have only good things to say about that hospital.

Take care.  I wish you the best of luck with the upcoming tests and hope that you can find some answers.  I'll be thinking of you.  Keep us posted.
