This entire pregnancy I've been kind of paranoid that my belly wasn't growing properly.  I've brought it up at the last few appts and my doc decided to get me an u/s with the MFM that I saw w/ my DS. My fundal measurement is perfect, in fact it's a week ahead. I figured this appt would just confirm that maybe I was being a little irrational. Wrong-o!
So, Dr. B (the high risk doc) does my u/s and we discovered that I have extremely low fluid. According to him, 10-20cm is considered normal, 5 is abnormal and hospital-worthy. Mine is a 7. Baby girl is measuring perfectly and in the 44th%. There are no cord compression issues and she passed her NST with flying colors. I've been instructed to "take it easy" (impossible with a 2.5 year old, I don't know how you bedrest moms do it) and to drink 2 gallons of water per day through the weekend and then I have another appt on Monday. I am feeling very blessed that she's doing really well, but I could still use your thoughts and prayers.
Oh, and never doubt your mommy intuition.  I just KNEW something was off.

I hope your Monday appt. goes well!
Kudos to you for pushing the issue. So many women don't do this and it drives me nuts. No one knows you better than you.
I'm so glad LO is doing well! Try and enjoy your "restful" weekend and let us know how you make out on Monday!

I hope they go back up. A lot of times they seem to. Crazily enough, I heard the water consumption can really help.
I was induced last time for low fluid when mine dropped below 5 to 4 something. But my low fluid was related to a kidney issue DS had and thus totally different.
Good luck!

I'm so sorry! I hope the water helps. I was induced with my DS because of fluid levels. Everything turned out fine, but it's still scary.
I hope your DH is able to help out so you can rest as much as possible.

I'm sorry
I was told that they can't really do another growth scan for at least 3 weeks to really tell if the low fluid is having a negative effect. Maybe that's why they sent you home? Good luck to you.  Let me know how it goes for you on Monday.  And drink up! It's been a challenge for me to drink these 2 gallons, but so far I've been successful.
