We registered for a swing and received it and now a friend is offering us her swing for free. So, how easy/hard is it to return items purchased off your registry to BRU? I don't want to ask my aunt for the receipt if I can avoid doing so.
DH returned some non-registry items the other day with and without receipts and they gave him a hard time.
Thanks!
Re: Registry Returns to BRU?
After two losses, third time was a charm.

I returned an item without a receipt that was actually bought at a different store. I didn't have a registry at BRU. They accepted the return no questions asked and gave me store credit.
I don't know if it would be different for you since it was on the registry. Maybe they would give you the money.

I didn't have any trouble without receipts since it was on my registry and they can see that. I did ask for store credit though, it might be harder if you're wanting money back. I even added an item to my registry after someone had bought something for me that I knew I would never use and didn't know where they got it from. I added it, then marked it as purchased, then returned it without a receipt and got store credit.
