Time change

Anyone worried how DC will adjust to the impending time change?  I'm just starting to get a schedule to work for him and now this!

Re: Time change

  • We did the time change last week and for about two days, we had to keep baby up for an hour.  It was nothing compared to jet lag.  He usually goes to bed around 7PM.  We start his bedtime routine around 6:30PM.  After the time change, we just kept him up playing and horsing around plus elongated his nightly routine.  We took longer to give him a bath, his last bottle, read a book, etc.  By the 2nd night he was fine.

  • I am.  DH is convinced that DC is going to wake up for his 5:30 feeding at 4:30....or 3;30.

  • I am!  We've been extending her bedtime by a half hour this week.  That part has been ok, but the waking up part is what worries me.  She's all over the place.  A couple mornings I had to wake her up at 7 before I left for work, a couple days she was up at 6, and one day she was ready for the day at 5:30.  So, basically her bedtime has no impact on waking time which means she'll likely be waking up anywhere from 4:30-6am now!  I am really hoping we can get her to sleep later.
