I think DH's aunt is getting DD a booster seat for her b-day present. When to switch her over? Any pros or cons to using the booster vs. the high chair?

DS loves the booster seat. We switched about a month ago and he's actually eating more now; go figure. I think he really enjoys actually sitting at the table with us and when I say it's time to eat, he runs to his chair and pulls it out. He's close to attempting to actually climb in! I think it's a great idea and gave no cons. Also more portable when you go to other's houses
We have a real booster seat (just sits on the chair, no straps) that we just started in the last few months. He likes the freedom because he can get in and out. It is NOT safe for a 1-year-old. There are other boosters that strap to the chair and have a safety strap for kiddo that are fine once LO can sit independently.

We switched Sophia around 13 months, but we did it b/c we were moving and decided it was time. She did great in the booster and its sooo much easier to clean. We have the cheap fisher price one and LOVE it! I do not miss the highchair one bit!
