It hit me today! I have cleaned the kitchen top to bottom. Organized all Gavins clothes and things into his drawers and closet. Been in Baileys room, took EVERYTHING out of her closet organized it and put it back, put everything in its place, and even spot cleaned her stuffed animals if they had a spot on them. I am still thinking of little things i need to do at the moment. I dont think i ever nested with my DD and i thought it happened later in pregnancy. But i got to looking on other sites and seen it can happen pretty much anytime in pregnancy. Any other moms 2 be started this yet?
Re: Anyone started having the urge 2 clean/nest?
Yes!! I'd much rather be nesting than working on my research papers . . . I keep trying to tell myself that once I finish the papers I can nest all I want, somehow it isn't working though.
I have so many nesting projects in my head to get done . . . ahh
I took everything out of every dresser and closet. I vacuumed drawers and shelves, then re-lined them. Then I decided that all of the clothes should be clean!
ALL. OF. THEM.
Next up? Getting rid of unwanted things. The baby is getting a whole room and large closet so that stuff has to go somewhere. I have 5 big bags of clothes to go to charity (working on #6) and 2 big boxes of bags and shoes.
Then I noticed the walls could use new paint. In every room.
DH is just as bad, he's purging everything. We've thrown out or given away so much stuff, I bet my neighbors think we are hoarders.
Yes! I have a hefty list of things I want to do and I've been tackling some of them every day. I'm also getting a ton of projects finished and the nursery paint is almost done (that was a HUGE job that we finally were able to work on this week).
All I want to do is clean, reorganize, redecorate, complete some projects that never seemed important before but I need them done yesterday, and I love it! I'm really getting a lot done around the house.

Me me! But I'm out of town the next 3 weekends in a row, so maybe that's why I'm feeling it even more? I got a bunch of spring cleaning done last weekend, but I still just want to organize, clean, and get rid of stuff!! We need to clean out everything in our office so we can turn it into our guest room, so that we can move everything from the guest room to start cleaning/painting it as the new nursery. MH is a little more sentimental than me though, so I have to tread delicately. I'm just going to go buy a bunch of big tupperware containers so he can pack away and store in the basement whatever he won't let me throw away or donate. He also at the moment has TWO dressers full of clothes - he had gained (and since lost) 25 lbs over the last few years.
Its time to purge!
I have already reorganized every closets in my house, plus all of the kitchen and laundry cabinets (ALL of them, and my kitchen is pretty big). I would really like to go tackle my attic, it is total chaos up there b/c I always have DH bring stuff up there for me and he just throws it wherever. I don't really think any of this has to do with a nesting urge at this point- I'm just a little OCD, and I had been letting things get messy b/c I was so exhausted.
DH has been warned by other men that I will get a nesting urge later and he will be on his hands and knees with me scrubbing the base boards.
I also try to keep things clean and organized but that doesnt always happen when you have a 3 yr old lol. I sweep the floor in the kitchen only to go back 5 mins later and there be crumbs everywhere! Or i clean up all toys only to go back and they same ones be out again. Cleaning is never ending around here but today i just got the urger to make everything have a place and everything to be so clean you could eat off of it, right down to every crook and turn.

Same by the time i get home im to tired to do anything i dreamt of doing all day!
Yep, I have 4 seperate "to do" lists. It's driving me nuts that DH has been traveling for work so often that I haven't made much progress on any of them--it's hard to accomplish anything when you are chasing after a toddler and by the time she goes to bed at night I'm wiped out!
I've got stuff planned for every weekend for the next 2 months--DH is going to hate it!
Exactly.
This. No urge or desire to clean at all.
I want things to be clean. But, I don't have the energy to clean them. This week H and I did deep clean our bedroom. We had big plans for the bathrooms this week, but that hasn't happened.
I am starting to get anxiety when I see clutter and want it to be clean. So, we'll have to see if my anxiety of the mess overrides my tiredness soon.
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)
