Maternity jeans rant...

I cant seem to keep up any of my maternity pants...they all sag and it drives me crazy...I bought a few pairs of Gap 4's (pre-preg I am a 6) and they are great in the legs but constantly sag. I decided to invest in a nice pair and just bought a pair of Paige maternity and they are doing the same. I feel like I am constantly hiking them up. I am trying a bella band with them today to see if that helps!! Ughh.. so frustrating. ( My bump is a decent size too!!!)

  • I agree. I have a pair from Gap... and I really like them, but they do tend to sag the longer you wear them. The belly band helped me a little. Hopefully when the belly is enormous this problem will go away!

  • I have the same issue! This is going to sound silly, but if I tuck a t-shirt or tank top into the stretch part of the jeans they don't fall down. If I'm not wearing an 'under shirt', then I'm constantly pulling the pants up.

  • I was having this problem too until I got motherhood maternity's jeans with the "secret fit belly".  OMG, so awesome!  No more falling off and so comfy.  I think Pea in the Pod makes jeans with the "secret fit belly technology" too.

  • Nice to know I'm not alone.  A friend gave me a pair of Paige jeans, but I thought they were just too big for me.  So I just bought a pair from Gap and those sag too!  I find myself still going for my non-mat jeans unzipped with a belly band if we're going out, even though I find the button digging into my stomach really uncomfortable.  And b/c they aren't buttoned, even those get saggy.  There's no winning!

Worse, when they start to sag, they also pull down my underwear.  I'm constantly tugging at my butt...real attractive.

  • Like a PP, the only brand I've had good luck with is Motherhood with the secret fit belly.  All the others shimmy down.

This happens to me too, drives me nuts! I have one pair from Motherhood without the low panel that seems to work ok, but I'm going to have to try out their other jeans as well. Maybe then my pants will stop trying to moon everyone!

  • ditto, secret fit belly is really great and comfy too (if you like full panel).  i have a pair of gap full panel and i am constantly pulling them up.  my butt is very saggy at the end of the day and i have to wash & dry them after every wear.  can't wait for warm weather  - ON foldover skirts and tanks EVERY DAY!

  • Try the full belly cover jeans...they go WAY up, almost under your boobs, but I've found them to be perfect...no drooping, no crack showing, pretty good overall.

  • The same thing happen with my maternity jeans from Old Navy. I thought it was just my jeans cuz Old Navy stuff is cheap...

  • I got a pair of H&M Mama's and a pair of Gap at the same time and I have the same problem with the Gap but not the H&M Mama's.  I have bought 4 pairs, 2 denim, 1 dark blue and 1 white from H&M and they are all AMAZING!  Fit, style, comfort and price.

  • I hate hate hate my maternity jeans. They are terrible.  They are from motherhood and I wear them on Fridays.  They are really rough and don't stay up.  Seriously, they are terrible!

I have these, and I hate them.  They fall down a lot and are scratchy.  Funny that people love them.

  • Feeling the jean pain too... I love me some jeans. I have three jeans that I force myself into with my secret trick - using rubber band hair ties and wrapping it around the button. Bella bands make me itch.

I splurged and bought two pairs of jeans from A Pea in the Pod. One is a Mavi - https://www.apeainthepod.com/Product.asp?product_Id=630910260&MasterCategory_Id=MC25

And the other were a pair IT! that end up baggy at the end of the day... it drives me nuts! NUTS!

I haven't tried any other brands... sounds like Gap is pretty popular. Are they true to pre-preg size??

Same here.  I have jeans and capris from Motherhood with the secret fit belly and they're sooo comfy and don't fall down.
