I"m sorry I know I've seen this asked before, but I've never had this problem so I didn't pay attention. Do you use a different brand or size at night? Liam is SOAKED every morning. From neck to toes. Do you prefer one brand over the other? Right now we are just using the BJ's brand which are fine for during the day, but he goes down around 8:30 and sleeps right through until 7am and these diapers just aren't cutting it.
Re: overnight diapers
Yeah this is what i've been trying too. I takes a sippy into bed, but usually takes about two sips and then throws it on the ground. haha...everynight about 5 minutes after he goes down we here *THUD*
I have had so many issues keeping R in dry PJ's! I now swear by the Huggies overnights, one size up. I also have eliminated the before bed sippy. His last drink of milk is whatever he has with dinner and nothing after 6pm.
When he was 6 mos I tried the Huggies and they leaked, now he has been dry 100% of the time! I tried going up a size (even 2) in babydry and he still leaked. Pampers extra protection leaked too most nights
This may be obvious, but I also make sure he is "pointed down" when I put that last diaper on him!
I use cloth diapers and they work awesome for us. My sister who used disposables had a really hard time with overnights until I bought her a Bum Genius 3.0 pocket diaper. She used it for months (haha she seriously had 1 diaper and washed it EVERY day). She said she didn't mind since she has 3 kids and does laundry every day anyways, but she loved not having to change her DD's clothes and sheets.
Maybe you should invest in a few and see if that works for you. I would use both inserts and if he wets through that then add a hemp insert. My DS goes down at 7:45 and sleeps until about 7:30-8 and it is never wet in the AM(or at least very rarely). I only use the 2 microfiber inserts that they come with for him.
We use Huggies Overnights too. We used Pampers Overnights once and they leaked this gelly goo stuff ALL over Evan's stomach.
We do kind of limit liquids...but since Evan is iffy with dinner sometimes - I want him to have a decent amount of milk.
What I've done since the beginning is: the first time DD has a leak overnight, I buy the next size up and just put that on overnight. Most of the time she wasn't ready for that size during the day yet, but at least I knew she'd be wearing them eventually. (we use Sam's brand)
Overnights work well too...I don't recall the brand we used once...probably a store brand. For DD Pampers was the most reliable name brand (Huggies always seemed to leak!).
