What are you getting YOUR mother?

I need some ideas for Mother's Day on the cheap! I'm getting my mom a book but not sure what else. Can't do food because she's having dental surgery and won't get to enjoy it (unless it's ice cream). I want something creative but inexpensive and I'm not crafty so I can only make something if it's super duper easy.

Also, what, if anything, are you giving grandma from LO?

I'm writing my mom a letter. I know this is super cheesy, but I really did have that "Oh my God, my mom was right" moment when I had Piper. I never understood just how much she actually loved me. And why she was so crazy when I was a teenager, etc etc... I'm going to take some time and write out a letter about all these things you realize about your mother once you become a mother.

My mom doesn't need ANYTHING, so I think she will really appreciate this. I will probably include flowers.

Let me see if I can describe this properly...

What about buying a 4X4 tile from home depot for under a dollar, and getting some scrapbook paper, cut a picture of your mom and LO out, with the scrap book paper as a little border, and maybe use some scrap book stickers to spell love or something.

We made these last year at a mother daughter luncheon, with ribbon, or you can do whatever, and then bought one of those little easels from the dollar store to put it on. Its a thoughtful handmade gift, that even people who arn't crafty can do.

We are making "brag books" for my mom and MIL. I like the ones from Tiny Prints. You can get them for around $10 a piece. Maybe less on some sites. Since K is 6 months old now I figured I have enough pictures to give them plenty for now.

I usually make my mom chocolate covered strawberries. BUT, she is taking herself to NYC for the first time. She and her sister are going........and! I just had a great idea.

I have 1 million siblings so if we all pitch in we can get my mom a camera for her trip since she does not own a camera.
