Estate Planning?
This was on my list of things to get done before LO arrived and didn't happen.
Can anyone recommend an estate lawyer in The Woodlands? I need to get our wills/trusts drawn up, but I have no idea how the process works. Do I call and get estimates on how much they charge? Is there a list of things that I need to have available before I meet with them?

We met with two different ones that had very different prices. There was no charge for the initial meeting.
Our initial meeting was almost identical with both people. They discussed the same types of options and recommended the same things.
We got the impression (may not be an accurate impression) that the price difference boils down to how much work they are going to do for you outside of the standard will/trust information. The $$$$$ one, it seemed like if we had issues getting all the beneficiary information worded right with all our accounts (can be a headache) that they would do some of that for us, get on the phone with the different institutions and work through what needed to be done.
Since we didn't have tons of accounts we decided to go with the less expensive person. When we ever have to revisit things, we may switch.
