My DH is so amazing. He is nesting big time lately and is doing more than his fair share. It's great since A. the nesting bug has not hit and B. I am too freaking tired.
I think this is his way of being involved. Anyone else's DH nesting?
My DH isn't really nesting, but he's started to get really excited about the baby and has been looking up all kinds of information about preparing for labor, going into labor, monitoring contractions, etc. It's really cute because I didn't think was really going to get into. He has a five year old daughter with his ex-wife, and I thought he would have at least a decent grasp on what pregnancy and giving birth involves, but he obviously didn't pay much attention last time because so far, he's been totally clueless. He totally surprised me the other day by telling me all about everything he's been reading and learning!
No, but I wish he would!!! Instead, he comes home from work and throws his tie and jacket on my freshly "nested" tables. I have to ask him to help me with all of MY nesting projects, the latest of which is painting the guest room. If he would get the bug on his own and tackle a few projects, that would be soooo lovely.

My DH thinks that nesting means I am going to clean the whole house, scrub it top to bottom.
When I actually started nesting by washing baby's clothes, organizing the nursery, packing the hospital bag/diaper bag and cleaning baby things, he was very confused.
I wish my DH would do that. He's just now starting to realize that we're about to have a baby. I think for him, it won't really be real until he can hold his son. Until then, it's like pulling teeth trying to get him to read the book on being a labor coach. It helped when I reminded him exactly how long it was until the due date (and we never know if the kid could come early). That got him moving.
My dh is in overdrive of nesting! thank god someone is. I am on bedrest and tired alot so it is nice that someone is hyped up! also the fact that my family is coming from out of town for my baby shower on Saturday (so freaking excited) and they are going to stop by after the shower to see the house for the first time. my dh is running around finishing projects that honestly I thought would never get done!!! had I known that inviting my family would get him to finish all this stuff I would have invited them a long time ago!!!
It feels great that things are getting done! and that means that Caitlin will be here before I know it!!!
I see that a lot of you are in week 33. DH didn't start until the last week or so. I bet it will change. He even washed and helped fold and put away all her clothes. And he is constantly in need of going to home depot. My DH knows better to think I am going to clean from top to bottom ;o)
not necessarily nesting, but looking for some projects on the weekend - big spring things like mowing and edging the yard, putting together baby gear, big date nights to ready himself - it's very sweet!
If you count tearing out and rebuilding half our house so there is plenty of room in a really nice house for us and the baby, then yes, he is definitely nesting! He is working SO hard for so long. He's may be more tired than I am by the time it's all done and we're all at home together!

I wish DH were nesting. He still needs to get rid of a desk, finish painting and assemble the crib. I would do these things myself if I could just because I would like them done before LO arrives.
Exactly the situation at my house. No nesting for me yet, but he's just Mr. Busy Bee around the house. I've never seen so much get done without having to ask! Totally loving it.
There is barely any nesting left for my husband to do! I have been in nesting overload lately to the point where I was on my hands and knees last night polishing the hardwood floors in the nursery with Old English....
I am ready to relax...if anything new comes up, maybe he can take care of it. But I think we're all organized and ready to go.
DH it totally nesting. He did the whole nursery Which is a blessing because 1) I live away from home right now 2) I can't possibly nest 3) I work 70+ hours right now!
My DH has been nesting since we found I was PG, in the form of renovating and finishing up long overdue projects. This morning he has already fixed our bathroom fan (which has sounded like a chainsaw for the last two years.) Yesterday he ripped two layers of old flooring out of our bedroom and today he is prepping for paint in there. Last week he put up crown moulding in our kitchen - I've been waiting three years for that.
All this AFTER fully renovating our nursery.
He has been doing sooooo much work around the house and yesterday he even said to me, "I haven't really done anything special for the baby yet, I feel bad."
So cute.

This is my DH too!
He ordered a special all-terrain wagon so he can haul DS & DD around the neighborhood together {apparently our stroller isn't "manly" enough...} even though it'll be several months until we can put DD in it. He's also getting all new patio furniture and a grill this weekend because I mentioned how our whole family could enjoy outside activities as long as I can keep DD in the shade.
I'm doing a board & batten project in the nursery and apparently my non-handy DH decided he needs to step in and sand all of the boards first before he lets me install them so that they're safer in the room...he's finding all sorts of little things to do so that we'll be completely ready for her!

Mine tore out the bathroom -- down to the studs and replaced the tub. He has also torn out the old closets and made a TON more usable space in them. He also couldn't WAIT to put together the IKEA furniture we finally decided on. As in, he dropped me off at work and then by the time I got home it was all together and in the room. He keeps telling me that it isn't nesting, just his contribution since he can't really do much to help out with the baby at this point. He is really really excited and I think it is finally starting to wear off on me.

I wish he would do his version of nesting.
