babyproofing question and superyard gate

I have been researching superyard gates and I am not sure if the metal gate or plastic gate is best.  DD has been pulling up on everything and crawling everywhere.  My living room opens into my kitchen so a regular gate in a doorway would not be possible.  Has anyone had any experience with either of these gates?  I am concerned about her pulling up and it tipping over on her.  I am open to any other ideas you all may have.

    We have the plastic Superyard due to the way our stairs are designed; a gate would be 6 steps up, a few too many for our comfort. After seeing one in action with my now 3yr old niece, I'm pretty ciomfortable that it will not tip over or pinch fingers. It's pretty solid, although light enough to move around if we wanted to take it outside or something. FWIW, I never compared it with a metal one.

    We have the plastic superyard and so far he hasn't been able to pull it over.  He does use it to stand up against but it seems to hold his weight pretty well.

    Thanks for the feedback!  I think I am going to go with the plastic one.  You both have helped me make up my mind. Thanks :-)
