Anyone's OB ok the use of Jergens self-tanning lotion?

A few months back when I was like 6 weeks I called and asked if I could use self-tanner before our vacation. The nurse said that they didn't approve the use of self-tanners because they don't know how safe they are, but I really cannot see the harm in using just the Jergens Natural Glow lotion, do you? I just don't want to go through summer looking fat, pregnant and pasty.

    Mine did. My son turned out just fine. I use it a lot of the time in small amounts

    Not that it means it's definitely 100% okay, but there is really no logical reason why it shouldn't be safe.  Pregnant or not, I'm sure it's still better for you than the amount of sun it takes to get a real tan.

    When I met with the NP at my last appointment, she said she wouldn't use it because of all the chemicals.  I think it's just one of those things that some people will use it and some people won't, depending on your comfort level.

    Not related to pregnancy, but I used it the last two summers. The big draw back for me was the smell, I always smelled like pancake syrup.

    It's still self-tanner, just more diluted than normal. If your OB said not to use it, I wouldn't use it in any form.

    I feel your pain, I am extremely pale, cannot get a tan and pre-pregnancy used to use that and get airbrush tans frequently. We went to Miami when I was at 6 weeks, and this weekend I'll be at the beach, pasty and bloated. I may not look hot, but to me, it's worth it to be pale just to be on the safe side for my baby.

    My OB said it is fine.  I bought it and haven't used it yet.  I"m in a wedding in May and am so pasty white so i will use it soon.
