When four (FOUR!) of my parents walked into my classroom on Monday morning telling me their kids had been sick over the weekend, I knew one of us was doomed to catch it. Especially since one of the kids still looked sick - but to his mom's credit, he hadn't thrown up for exactly 25 hours (and 24 hours is standard school policy).
I caught it on Tuesday afternoon. I had nasty bathroom trips all night on both ends (TMI, sorry). I felt worse than I did in my first trimester. So once I was feeling well enough to come home today, I packed up all our stuff and trucked home. It's definitely a 24-hour bug, and I've been able to eat some soup and applesauce, so I should be able to meet the kids again tomorrow when they get back to school.
E was a trooper - she loved being there with the students and out in the forest. Luckily the school director and two rockstar parents were the chaperones, so even though I felt like I was abandoning my class, at least I was leaving them in good hands.
Thanks for the good thoughts earlier this week - camp itself was going well and my students were being fantastic, so that's the important thing, right?

So far E seems fine and happy as a clam. This morning when we woke up in the lodge, she was looking out the window and singing/talking to the birds, and by the time we left it was clear that she wanted to be outside and was getting stir-crazy. The girl loved being in a carrier and hiking outside!
