I feel like I have gotten nothing done!!
I still need to:
1. Rearrange furniture in the nursery and put the bedding back on (waiting until the last minute for the bedding though)--also need to put the glider back in to the nursery. Debating on leaving it in DS's room and getting a new one for nursery.
2. Install carseat (praying it fits now that we have a convertible one in there right next to where the infant carrier needs to go!)
3. Complete a packing list for my hospital bag--I did start putting some things in it like slippers and a comfy outfit (this time I'd like to change out of the hospital gown on the 2nd day --repeat c/s so there for 4 days)
4. Organizing the closets--- they are a wreck and I need to make room for LO's stuff
5. Get bottles ready/sterilize nipples
6. Buy new breastpump or get breastpump parts
7. Drag out pack n play, bouncer and swing since I know we used those right away with DS.
Not even sure what else need to be done right now.

Re: POLL: What is still on your "to do" list? (especially 2nd timers)
Oh my, so much. Everything. We just moved into a new house in March and I'm still unpacking. Nearly impossible to do with a toddler.
1. Buy crib and set up nursery for #2. Seriously, it's an empty room right now. At least we already painted the walls. We did order bedding yesterday so I can check that off my list.
2. Pack hospital bag. I didn't do this with DD until I was already in active labor and in too much pain to do it myself so I need to totally get this done sooner.
Okay I guess that is it. My attention seems to be on the rest of the house these days. I'm a horrible mother.
Not much really. House is straightened. Still have a few things to finish in the nursery but not a big deal (crib is ready and rocker - just need to get DS#1 a new dresser so we can use his for the baby).
I finished work on Friday do to some issues and I am such a go go go go go person that I am incredibly bored. I am just about to finish making some homemade cinnamon buns and prob take DS to the library this afternoon after nap.
1.) Finish setting up crib and washing the bumpers
2.) Install Car seat
3.) Finish packing Hospital Bag
4.) look into getting replacement breastpump parts
5.) Clean and orgainze house!
6.) Get Bassinet from mom's house and set up in room
7.) Get a pedicure!! My feet are horrible.. ( maybe that should be #1.. lol)
This! I have a good stockpile of everything we need but that's basically it. I keep telling myself I have time, but I've been seeing the weeks go by more quickly lately it seems. I need to get on the ball and at least start on my list.
?Wash, organize, and put away clothes, blankets, burp cloths, bedding, towels, etc.
{I still need to order the bedding! }
 }
?Finish buying everything on my "needs" list. {Even though, for the most part we're set.}
?Set up the crib.
?Prep cloth diapers and supplies.
?Make a list of what I will need at the hospital, and eventually pack the bag.
?Make a plan for my other kiddos!!
I'm glad I have 12 weeks left. I feel like such a SLACKER!
I also forgot!!
Stock up on groceries and freezer meals.. Well at least meals I can put in the crock pot.
I'm totally moving this to #1 on my list. I'm right there with ya!
I just finished up some last minute things this week. I finally put the car seat in the car and set up the PNP. I still have some cleaning/organizing to do in the nursery closet..her clothes are in there but it is still full of DH's things that he is taking forever to go through (either he does it soon, or I am assuming its all trash). Oh, and I haven't packed my bag or anything but I figure I will wait to do that anyway to keep me busy when labor starts.
I got my pedicure this past weekend and it was lovely..def a must before you have baby : )
1. Finish up nursery
2. Organize dresser drawers
3. Wash and put away clothing (some borrowed, some new, some neutral stuff from DS)
4. Wash inserts for the infant carseat and install the base
5. Pack hospital bag
6. Wash padding for swing, bouncer, activity mat and bedding for the crib
7. Buy new tubing for pump and nipples for bottles
8. Wash and sterilize bottles and nipples
I'm sure there is a lot more that I'm forgetting
-buy a changing pad/wipes/hand sanitizer/diaper-genie thing
-put car-seat base in car
-prep my prefolds
-hang up pictures/art/curtains in nursery
-set up cosleeper
-get the dog groomed and shaved (I am NOT following her around with a vacuum all day with a newborn!)
-we're also still waiting on the dresser for the nursery to be delivered
I'm sure there are a ton more things that I'm forgetting...but realistically, not EVERYTHING needs to be done right this second.
1) Install the infant carseat after I wash the cover
2) Put together the swing
(Perks of having a tiny apartment...not much to do!)
LMAOROF
There is more than I could list here.
I did manage to get the clothing that we do have from my daughter which is useable for the baby in the wash and his moses basket is set up. It is there as a kind of reminder that I need to get my ass in gear!
But the room that our darling is going to be housed in is currently an office so we will have to figure out where all of that will go - including a huge bookcase, our boxes of files and the computer. Just one more room would make the house perfect! LOL!
Month 7 and I FINALLY got some mat clothing. We are lucky the baby has a bed already and some clothing because my husband and I are so casual it may just be in nappies at first! LOL!
I have to get some new bottles as well - thank goodness Tommy Tippee is now in Canada.
Which makes me think I really need to start making a list (panicking now!)
In my defence I have had so many tests through-out the pregnancy that this is the first time that my doctor has finally declared: GO HAVE FUN! YOU HAVE A NORMAL PREGNANCY!
So I am actually feeling the urge to do some nesting now!
I've bought lots of stuff, just need to re-arrange house to accommodate it; currently changing table and nightstand are in living room! DH is a bit of a hoarder, so I am secretly trying to get rid of stuff from closets and garage to move stuff around. Besides that, all of the above. To the poster who mentioned quick-cook meals- great idea!
Make a pregnancy ticker
Pack hospital bag
Put together bassinet
Buy a few more items
Finish nursery
Pedicure
Organize and clean computer room
Wash kitchen floor...I don't know why but I want to heavy duty clean it!
I feel so behind with this baby ...
1. Decide if we're buying a new recliner. If not, move recliner from DS' room into the baby's.
2. Finish painting baby's dresser. It's primed and waiting to be finished.
3. Paint inside of baby's closet. It's a terrible, awful, hideous wallpaper now -- I just want to put white primer over that to hide the ugliness. I'm waiting for a nice day so I can open the windows for ventilation.
4. Replace light in baby's room with a ceiling fan.
5. Wash and sort newborn clothing.
6. Pack hospital bag (waiting until 37 weeks this time).
7. Sew crib sheets & cloth wipes.
8. Get out all the newborn stuff: bouncer, swing, infant car seat, moby, etc. Make sure it's all clean and ready to go.
9. Dig out breastpump and get that all ready to go. ::sigh::
I'm 100% sure there's more, but that feels like enough to worry about for now.
Can I say everything... We just moved into a new house on Friday of last week and its a tornado wreck right now. We had no help so its just my husband and I doing all the work. I took a vacation day tomorrow to get some stuff done. We have these as a priority list:
1. paint baby room
2. assemble furniture and necessary items
3. install car seat
4. get stroller out and ready
5. wash clothes and pack my bag
6. get a pedicure in the next week
7. get bottles just in case ready...
8. get things like swing put together so we can actually have a place to set the baby when it comes home.
and basically try to figure out what we are doing with the entire house before the little bambino gets here.
1. Buy the baby bedding.
2. Buy car seat.
3. Pack hospital bags (wont do that for a couple more weeks).
4. Buy things like wipes, diapers, lotion/bath wash, changing table pad/cover, and misc. stuff like that so we will be stocked and ready 2 go.
5. Got to get and paint the wooden letters for his name and the DYI pictures colored and framed. (doing this next week)
Think that is about it. Been preparing for baby for awhile now so most everything that is big is already bought and assembled.
We're cranking away at my to-do list this week. We had the house cleaned, my car cleaned, I got a pedicure, DH (with the help of friends and family- thank god) got some house projects finished. Now all I need to do is close the loop on some work projects and we're all set.
Oh and do the nursery, but we will do that after LO arrives so we can do pink or blue. Or purple or red
Get the crib here and set it up.
Wash and prep all diapers and clothes.
Add to my diaper stash. I think I just need some more prefolds and snappis. Plus some accessories like a diaper pail and liners, wipes, diaper sprayer, etc.
Organize baby's closet, dresser, and changing table.
Pack hospital bag.
Get my car detailed. Not really baby related but it's something I want done before he gets here.
Other things I need: Baby bath tub, wrap, a co-sleeper, a bouncy chair. I have a whole list of other little things too, both for me and baby.
I still need to:
1) Paint the nursery and get all the furniture in there.
2) Organize all the clothes we have for LO.
3) Buy a breast pump.
4) Install the carseat.
5) Pack hospital bag.
6) Tour the hospital.
7) Call the pediatrician and find out if we have to fill out any paperwork.
UGH I feel so behind now that I realize I still have to do all of this.
