I saw your post on the BF board about thrush. Does your LO have signs of it or is it just you? I was doing great BF but had DD's tongue tie snipped last week and now my nips are pink, sore and hard especially if they get cold so I'm not sure if it's her new tongue movement/latch, thrush or something called nipple blanching because she is compressing them. Just wanted to commiserate since my nips are annoying the crap out of me, it doesn't hurt to nurse just the initial latch on and if my top irritates them.

    Hey! I don't nurse..just EP. But, she doesn't have any signs of it! (thank goodness!) What I'm experiencing is really stabbing pains in my right boob while/after pumping. And the worst part... on a dime, I will get the worst stinging pain in both of my nipples for about 5 seconds. I also have a white coating on my nipples. And they get verrrrry itchy during pumping!

    From the research I've done this afternoon, it can be caused from a vaginal yeast infection (which I think I may have), cracked nipples, not letting your nipples air out when you're done pumping, and a few other things. I'm going to call my OB in the morning because it's really making EPing miserable!

    I'm sorry you're going through pain, too! I hope you get it figured out soon!!

    That's horrible! I guess I shouldn't complain about some sore nips then! Well, I hope that the Dr. can give you some relief. What we will do for these little ones, mine feel like the tips are on fire. Ahhhh!!! Good luck lady!
