BOY!! Samuel James :-)

We weren't technically supposed to get an ultrasound today, but the technician sneaked us in while we were waiting for the dr.

On the other hand, the dr. (not mine b/c mine is on bedrest - this is a sub. dr) must be on crack and needs a new blood pressure machine. They took my blood pressure, told me I was on the verge of having a stroke, sent me to the hospital (45 minutes away) and my blood pressure was just fine. Six hours later and I'm finally home. Who votes for sending the hospital bill to the dr??

    First, congrats on your boy! Exciting news!

    Second, what the what?!?!?! Ummmm, today would not be the last day I was talking to the office/dr. about what happened. Have you had high BP before? Was the machine found to be defective? Did it truly spike but then go back down? Are you going to be monitoring it at home now? I would have so many questions my head would be spinning.

    Ditto. It makes me curious about how the mothers ages are lining up with the Chinese Gender Chart, because anyone who was 18, 20, 24, 25, 27, 30, 32, 35, 37, 39, 40, 42, 43, or 44 in December (supposed conception month) should be having a boy in September.

    Ditto. It makes me curious about how the mothers ages are lining up with the Chinese Gender Chart, because anyone who was 18, 20, 24, 25, 27, 30, 32, 35, 37, 39, 40, 42, 43, or 44 in December (supposed conception month) should be having a boy in September.

     

    Gender Chard didn't work for me - I was 26...baby also consistently had a 158 heart rate.

    Was the machine found to be defective? My regular dr. even used my BP machine (automatic) one time because they couldn't get an accurate reading on the office's machine.

    Did it truly spike but then go back down? They measured it at 165/102 at the dr.'s office. 10 minutes later, at home, I measured it at 130/80. An hour later, at the hospital, it was measured at 140/85 (that long, unnecessary ride to the hospital annoyed the heck out of me).

    Are you going to be monitoring it at home now? Yep - I know my BP is fine, but will be taking it in the morning and evening at least for the next week so I can prove I'm fine at my "blood pressure follow up appt" next Wednesday.


    I can't wait until my regular dr comes back from having her baby.
