  there's a spreadsheet floating around somewhere with a bunch of recs. we used heather neely and really liked her. what we really liked with her packages is you don't have to buy prints from her, she just gives you a cd of all your images.

  The spreadsheet is really helpful. FWIW, we used Heather Neely too (for maternity, newborn, 6 months, and 1 year) and liked her a lot. Hubby just asked for some of those pictures for his birthday.

  We used Jessie Rae (www.jessieraephotography.com) and we love her and her photos! She did a session for us in November and we just booked another session with her for May. She is fun, my kids love her, and her pricing and photos are fabulous! Plus, she gives you a CD with all of your images :-)

  I think he's reasonably priced and a really nice guy. I will say I think he does more wedding photography (i.e., doesn't specialize in maternity or babies) but he has a section on his site of babies and FWIW he won a contest in the washingtonian a couple years ago with a newborn shot: https://www.washingtonian.com/articles/people/11092.html

  We love, love, love Ryann of Ryann Colleen Photography.  She's having mini sessions this weekend and I just saw on her facebook page that she had a spot open up...  https://www.facebook.com/ryanncolleenphotography .  She really took her time with our newborn session and was so patient with us!  Can't say enough good things about her and her photography is beautiful!  Her website is www.ryanncolleenphotography.com.  Have also heard good things about Little Moon Photography but have not used them.
