This is after they had cleaned him up etc...didn't get to hold him for long before they cleaned him up since I was in pretty bad shape "down there" immediatley following delivery.

My Dr. wouldn't let me move since my platelet count was so low, and my girls were in the NICU, so even though they were born early Tuesday morning, I didn't get to hold them until Wednesday morning.
I didn't even get to see Livi since I was put under general for the c section, so I held her first. I will never forget this moment!
Kangaroo care is the best! Here I am with Laney:
Livian Elizabeth and Alayna Marjorie! On their way to 3!
This is the first one of me holding him. I don't remember this moment because I still had morphine in me
I'm glad DH got this picture because it's right after the nurse handed
him to me when we got back from the OR :

She was probably 5-10 minutes old at this point. We got skin-to-skin right away. I look awful after pushing so hard for an hour and a half. Plus ugly happy cry face... I didn't need the oxygen - it just helped me remember to breath in through my nose and out my mouth. Best reminder ever!

The only pics I have outside of the OR from that night are of me BFing - but I don't think people want to see those, though they really don't show much!!
